Sometimes I Feel Like This Guy
This is Tsuyoshi Nishioka, the batting champion of Japan last season. This is his first year playing in the United States. In fact, it’s his very first week.
And what happens? He gets taken out at the knees (or at the fibula, as it were). Broken leg!

Quickies – Bougie Sporting Edition
Since Xtian has already gone all Euro and bougie on us with his “futbol” posts, I might as well throw a little professional cycling into the mix.
Sometimes I feel like this guy (above). Ouch!
I never feel like this guy (above). Booo!
By the way, the Giro d’Italia is being raced right now! Most people know about the Tour de France. The Giro d’Italia is just like that, except that it’s raced in Italy. And the other difference is that nobody cares about it. Oh, and yet another difference is that the leader of the Giro doesn’t wear a Yellow Jersey… he gets to wear the Pink Jersey (above).
I can’t help but snicker when I watch coverage of the Giro d’Italia and the announcer goes, “[so-and-so cyclist] is really pushing hard. He’s giving it all he’s got til the finish line. He’s dreaming of being in pink tonight!” Hah! I think we all do. Well, the guys, at least.

Evil
Striking out time and again. Wondering if I have anything left. When will I score again? Ugh, just let me get to third base or something.
“Steeeeeee-rike three!”
Doh. I should have been paying attention to my at-bat instead of doubting myself. I’ll walk off in shame now.
